Credit Reporting Policy

    • It is standard practice when assessing an Application for Credit to request Credit reporting from an agency such as Veda Advantage, Creditor Watch or Dunn and Bradstreet or similar.
    • Each of the Credit Departments within the Bunzl group may use some or all of these providers of information. Please contact your credit department to ascertain the contact details should you wish to request it.
    • Once an account is approved, reporting may again be requested for the following;
      • Assessing an account for a credit limit increases
      • Monitoring the customers credit worthiness
    • Bunzl may utilise an option with the Credit reporting agency to monitor, and be advised of any changes to your account this may include;
      • Change in Directors
      • Change in Business name
      • Defaults listed
      • Legal action commenced
    • Bunzl may list a default against a customer with the Credit reporting agency after:
      • All or part of the debt is 60 days after its past due date
      • The customer has been sent a 7 day demand and has not responded or paid
      • The customer is then notified that a default will be listed within 24 hours if they do not respond
    • Bunzl is a global company, but the credit reporting obtained for Australian customers is not shared with other countries.
    • The rights of an Applicant or Representative of an Applicant in relation to credit related Personal Information are:
      • Seek access to or correction of credit related Personal Information; and
      • Complain if he or she believes that Bunzl has interfered with his or her privacy
  • Complaints in regards to the Credit Reporting can be lodged in writing with your local Credit Manager.
